At this dam

of your emotion,

       I used to think
       I longed for youth
those slow and playful days.

       A new notion
       grasps this moment

       The minutes pass
       the hours fly by

Perhaps happiness is meant to be

a goal most unreachable.

Perhaps the trials we go through

are not unreasonable. 

We’ll never know why life is life,

Why each of us is different.

We still won’t know why we die

When all energy and life is spent. 

So I live my life day by day.

Each hour is something new.

And with each minute that passes by,

my heart still yearns for you.

I walk along this dim lit path,

Between the earth and sky.

My feet stay firmly on the ground,

As all my dreams fly by.

in a field of silence.

Surrounded by your words,

your smile, your laugh.

broken and confused

your dreams, your priorities.

is a security

of our beliefs

and strength.
